The sparkies finally installed my beautiful Barn Light Electric kitchen lights - and unlike other final installations i haven't loved so much - they look awesome. Absolutely awesome.
Here they are close up - sitting on the bench top waiting to go in. Because i used solar span roofing, there is no cavity space in the ceiling for things like hooks or wires to hide when connecting up- everything needs to happen within a very (half a cm) short space of conduit.
They needed to use some special clip thingers to make sure it all fit under the ceiling cap.
And here they are! Installed with great care to make sure they were all aligned straight, although being hung from a sloping ceiling. That was a whole other exercise.
Once the kitchen is permanently all a-ok, ill take some extra pretty pictures :)
Hi. I'm thinking of puchasing a light from barn light eletric but was concerned that the electrical fittings would be different to Australian standards. Did you have any issues and did your sparkies have to do anything special to install? The kitchen looks great by the way. Cheers

ReplyDeleteThey were completely ready for installation in Australia. The company had already changed the inside wirings - i think its something they do as standard to send to Aus. The fittings are ceramic (not plastic) - MUCH better quality than anything i've seen locally. Even the electrician was impressed!!
