Bricks? What Bricks?

It appears that spring has sprung, and amidst the rubble that is currently my garden, flowers are popping up and bringing all sorts of colour to the garden.

As you can see, a wonderful palette among the building dust & bins.

This part is supposed to be the most fun now: the finishings. While i was away, my builder Peter was actually able to get on with things (as i wasn't there making changes or asking him 600 questions), so the first lay of electrical and plumbing stuff has been done and right now, the plastering is being finished - so nearly ready for me to swoop in a do my bit, the pretty colours and curtains.

Here's my outdoor laundry room! Its going to be clad with weatherboard - im hoping will look amazing :) So exciting. Extra wide door for washing machines and chest freezers to go in, the outdoor laundry will also be home to the recycled kitchen cupboards and joinery from the kitchen i ripped out to change into bathrooms.
The laundry will have a grey water system pumping out the washing machine outflow into the flowers and greenery - and lemon and olive trees - which i understand are okay with grey water (especially the citrus trees).

Here's my tiles!

This is my visual evidence of asshole delivery people who plonked two tonnes (literally: not girly enthusiasm measurement) of tiles in the middle of the drive way, where everything needs to be delivered. Now everything has been delayed to be able to get around the freaking tile mountain. Bastards. I wish i knew the name of the deliver company; id name and shame them.

The laundry - all tied in with the existing car port.

A little photo-slide-show of the back room - plastered on the inside, but not the white stuff (thats this week). Roof on, windows still glass-less until next week and no back fence.

Good spot for fair lights methinks.

And some more...

Ensuite shower nook

Sun-tube!

Random stuff found in the rubble. Weird. Awesome soundtrack though!

My last minute taps - replacing the beautiful taps i purchased months in advance, and which contain Zinc and can't be installed in Australia. ARGH.

New hallway!

The bathroom

Sun-tube in the bathroom

Where the bathtub will be going. I think im more excited about having a bath here that anything else in the house.

Thats my shower ledge thing. My shampoo will go there :)
