Lighting

One of the many things that i didn't take into account when putting together the budget and thinking about the decor, was the enormous number of light fittings i'd need.

New hallway: 2
Ensuite: 3 + 1(vanity)
Bathroom: 1 + 2(vanity)
New bedroom: 1
Kitchen: 3
Living/Dining: 3
Outside: 6
Garden: 6

The house is overall has a muted Art Deco feel, and the extension has been designed and decorated to seamlessly integrate with the existing property. But Art Deco reproduction lighting... overall hideous, and hard to find in Australia.

I found 3 lights for the living/dining areas in Fremantle at Corner Store - which was luckily having a sale when i started looking. The lights i found aren't on their website, but they have some other great ones - lots of fun.

I really want porcelain enamel barn lights for the kitchen - i need three (definitely on a dimmer - i'm eighties like that). Hopefully barn lights are dimmer-happy.

This colour? On ebay:

This website seems to sell the exact one i want!! Here's hoping they ship to Australia. I'll try and talk them into it if not. I don't know why some businesses haven't got around to setting up international shipping yet. Especially for people like me :)

It's so pretty!

Pinterest has lots and lots of suggestions for these type of lights. Lot's of click through links to what i want - especially from places that don't 'do' international shipping. Watch me.

My entire house has been ordered off Ebay, Gumtree, Pottery Barn etc etc etc :)

Thank you, International Courier Services.
